Money Settlement - the calendar that tracks who owes whom
What Money Settlement is, how to open it, and how to read the monthly calendar where green is money owed to you and red is money you owe.
Money Settlement is where a studio and a practitioner reconcile the money from their bookings. It exists to separate two things that used to be one: a session being done, and the money for it being settled. This guide covers what the screen is and how to read it; settling is covered in Settling commission money.
Step by step
- 1
Open Money Settlement
Open the Bookings tab — Money Settlement is a button there, and there's a card for it on your Accounting screen too. You can open it even without the paid Accounting module. A "you're owed / you owe" banner and settlement notifications also drop you straight into it.

Read the Settlement calendar
The default Settlement view is a month calendar. On each day:
- green is money owed to you that day;
- red is money you owe that day.
Each currency gets its own green/red pair. The green/red bars only ever show direction (owed to you / you owe) — that colour never changes with age. Money that's been outstanding a while is flagged separately by a small clock icon next to the date: amber once it's 14+ days old, red at 30+ days. Because the clock is its own little icon, the "overdue" red can't be confused with the "you owe" red bar — see Overdue settlements. A booking's money sits on the month of its appointment date; use the arrows to move between months.
- 4
Or switch to the list
Switch from Calendar to List to see open settlements as a plain list instead, grouped into To Collect, In Settlement (split into Held by Studio / Held by Practitioner / Needs filing), and Resolved.
- 5
Tap a day to see its bookings
Tapping a day opens its detail, with one card per booking. That's where you actually settle — head to Settling commission money.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need the paid Accounting module to use Money Settlement?
No. It's reachable from the Bookings tab for both studios and practitioners, even with nothing owed.
- Why is a whole month empty?
Money appears on the month of the booking's appointment date. If nothing happened that month, the calendar is empty — use the arrows to find the month you're looking for, or switch to the list.
