Finding your way around Settings

A map of every section in your Settings list — what each row does, and where to read more about the ones that live in other parts of the help center.

Settings is where you manage your account, your privacy, what you see, and what happens to your content. You reach it from your own profile by tapping the gear icon, which opens the Profile Settings list.

This article walks the list top to bottom so you know what each row does. Some rows open features that are documented in their own part of the help center — those are linked below rather than repeated here.

  • Account

    • Account Center — change your username and email, see your public web address, and switch between or add accounts. This is covered in Signing in and account recovery.
    • Go Premium / My Subscription — open the upgrade page to start, change, or review a subscription. Practitioners and studios see this; collectors don't, because there's nothing for a collector to subscribe to. See the Premium section for what each plan unlocks.
    • Payment Settings — set up where your booking money is paid out (your bank details), your payout currency, and deposit options. Practitioners and studios only.
    • Verified Account — identity-verification badges are marked Coming Soon and aren't available yet.
  • Preferences

    • Push Notifications — the master switch, Quiet Hours, and per-type toggles for the alerts you get. See Choosing which notifications you get.
    • Privacy and Visibility — your location access, who can find you in search, and how your bookmarks and Events tab appear. See Privacy and visibility.
    • Sensitive Content — how body-modification content shows up for you. See Controlling sensitive content. This row doesn't appear for body-modification practitioners and studios.
    • Device Permissions — the location, camera, and photo permissions the app asks your phone for. See How notifications reach you for how these relate to push.
    • Languages — InkMap is in English at the moment.
  • Content

  • Business and Your Data

    • Insights — a free analytics screen for practitioners and studios: followers, profile views, and content performance. See Your Insights.
    • Data Export — marked Coming Soon; not available yet.
  • Support

    • Credits — recognition for the artists involved in InkMap.
    • Help — opens the Help Center, where you can search articles and send us a message, a bug report, or a feature idea.
    • About InkMap and Legal — the story behind the app, and the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. See Legal documents and the About page.
  • Signing out and deleting your account

At the bottom of the list, Logout signs you out of the current account. Delete Account starts account deletion, which has its own recovery window and safeguards — read Deleting your account before you use it.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see the subscription or payment rows?

Those are for practitioners and studios. Collector accounts don't have anything to subscribe to or get paid for, so the rows are hidden.

Where do I change my username or email?

In Account Center, the first row under Account. It's covered in Signing in and account recovery.
