Finding and applying for jobs

How anyone browses and filters open positions in the News tab, and how individual accounts apply to one straight from the listing — what the application form asks for and the one-application-per-job rule.

Applies toEveryone

Open positions live in the Job Offers section of the News tab. Anyone can browse and filter them. If you have an individual account, you can apply straight from a listing.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the Job Offers section

Open the News tab in the bottom bar and switch to the Job Offers section. Each position shows as a card with the job type, location, start date if there's one, and pay if it's listed.

  2. 2

    Filter to what you're after

Tap the filter bar to narrow the list. You can filter by:

    • Job type — tattoo artist, piercer, apprentice, and the rest of the roles.
    • Location — worldwide, or a country, region, or city you search for.
    • Publication date — show only offers posted from a date you pick, and sort newest or oldest first.
  3. 3

    Open a listing

Tap a card to see the full details — the description, the pay arrangement, the requirements, the start date, and the address. Tap the address to open it on the Map, or tap the studio to open its profile.

  4. 4

    Tap Apply

At the bottom of the listing, tap Apply. This is available on individual accounts. Studio and convention accounts can't apply — they see a note that applications are for individual people only.

  5. 5

    Fill in your application

    The application form asks for:

    • Email — filled in from your account; change it if you'd rather be reached elsewhere.
    • Phone — optional.
    • Cover letter — required. A few lines on why you're a fit.
    • Preferred compensation — for artist positions only, pick how you'd like to be paid from the arrangements the studio offered (a revenue split, or daily/weekly/monthly chair rental).
    • Resume / CV — optional, a PDF or image.
    • Portfolio images — optional, up to five work samples, drawings, or certificates.
  6. 6

    Submit

Tap Submit Application. It goes straight to the studio, and the position moves into your private applications list so you can follow it. See Tracking your applications.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply to the same job twice?

No. One application per offer. If you've already applied, the listing tells you so instead of opening the form again.

Can I edit or take back my application after sending it?

No. There's no edit or withdraw step once it's sent. Make your cover letter and files right before you submit.

Who can see that I applied?

Only the studio that posted the offer. Your application is private — other applicants and the public never see it.
