Post Insights

The stats page behind each of your posts — reach, where viewers came from, which of your tags people actually searched, how many booking requests it drove, who saw it, and how it compares to your usual work.

Every post you create has its own Insights page. Open it by tapping the bar chart icon in the row of actions under the post — it only appears on your own posts, and only you can see it.

Insights lean into two things a regular photo feed can't show you: how many people went on to request a booking after finding your post, and the exact filter terms people used to discover it. The numbers only start counting from the moment the post is seen and acted on, so a brand-new post will look empty until people start interacting with it.

  • Reach

InkMap has two feeds — a thumbnail grid and a full-screen feed — and that lets us be honest about views in a way a single-feed app can't. Reach splits into three tiers, weakest to strongest:

    • Grid impressions (weakest) — your thumbnail scrolled into view in a multi-column grid. We can't tell if someone actually looked at it among the others, so this is not counted as a view; it's shown for context only.
    • Full-screen views (medium) — the post was shown on its own screen as someone swiped the full-screen feed. Better, but they may still have scrolled past.
    • Opens (strongest) — someone deliberately tapped your post to open it. This is the post they chose, and it's the headline number.

We also show accounts reached (separate people, counted once) and an open-through rate (of the people who saw your thumbnail, how many tapped in). All of these cover roughly the last 90 days.

  • Views over time

A two-line chart splitting daily views into followers and non-followers, so you can see whether a post is mostly landing with people who already follow you or reaching new people.

  • How people found this post

    This section has three parts:

    • View sources — where views came from: the Feed, a filtered search, your Profile, Discovery, and so on.
    • How people searched — the actual filter terms people picked to land on this post, ranked by how often they were used. A folder icon marks a broad term (like a whole subject group) so it reads differently from a specific one — "Animals" the folder versus "Horses" the specific subject.
    • Which of your tags are working — for each tag you put on the post, how often it was the thing that actually surfaced the post in someone's search. A tag that never brought in a search is flagged as a wasted slot, with a suggestion to swap it next time. Because you only get a limited number of tag slots per post, this tells you which ones to keep.
  • What it drove

A small funnel: how many people tapped Book Now after seeing this post, and how many of them went on to send a request. Below it, the profile visits and follows the post brought in.

  • Audience

Who saw the post — the split between followers and non-followers, the split between collectors (potential clients) and artists & pros, and the top countries viewers came from.

  • Engagement

Likes, comments, shares, and saves, in the same order as the post's action row. Saves sit last with a note: on InkMap a save is the strongest signal of intent — "I want this design / this artist" — and it's the action weighted most heavily in your Quality Score.

  • How it's doing

At the top of the page, a one-line verdict compares this post to your usual work (for example, "Performing 40% better than your usual") once there's enough history to compare. For tattoo and flash posts, a badge shows roughly where the post ranks among this month's posts of the same kind, and a trophy badge appears if it landed in a monthly Top 100.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my booking, follow, and profile-visit numbers all zero on an older post?

These started counting from when the tracking went live. A post that got its views and bookings before then has nothing to attribute, so it shows empty until people interact with it again.

A search term shows up under "How people searched" but it isn't one of my tags. How?

People can search by a broad folder ("Animals") even when your post is tagged with something specific ("Horses"). "How people searched" shows what they typed; "Which of your tags are working" maps that same search down to the specific tag of yours that earned the match.

Can clients see these numbers on my post?

No. The Insights page is only visible to the person who created the post.

Does scrolling past my post in the grid count as a view?

No. A thumbnail glimpsed among many others in the grid is a "grid impression" — shown for context but not counted as a view. A view means the post was shown full-screen (a full-screen view) or someone tapped to open it (an open). Opens are the strongest signal and also give a small boost in Ranks, because a post people choose to open is doing better than one merely scrolled past.
