Your Aftercare Instructions card
How the Aftercare Instructions card works — the healing guidance clients read after their appointment, tailored to your discipline, pre-filled and fully editable, with optional method sections you switch on.
Your Aftercare Instructions card is the healing guidance your clients read after their appointment. It's public, so a client can open your profile and follow your care steps without having to message you. The card is tailored to your discipline, comes pre-filled with general-purpose guidance, and every part is editable. It's on the Info tab.
What the card covers
The card is organised into sections so a client can scan to what they need. For a tattoo artist that's a general aftercare philosophy, what to avoid (clothing, sun, water), recommended products and how often to apply them, and a healing timeline. Other disciplines get a version shaped to how their work heals — a piercer's card, for example, includes healing times for different placements.
Everything starts pre-filled with sensible defaults. Treat it as a draft to adjust to your own approach rather than a blank page.
Method sections you switch on
Some sections are optional and controlled by a switch — you turn on the methods you actually use, and only those show to clients and count toward the card's completion. A tattoo artist, for instance, can switch on a second skin method (with how long to keep it on and how to remove it) and a traditional foil method (with a removal time), and leave off whichever they don't use.
Filling the main sections and the methods you've switched on takes the card to 100%.
Frequently asked questions
- Do clients see this before or after booking?
It's public on your profile at any time, but it's written for after the appointment — it's the care guidance your client follows while healing. Keeping it accurate saves you repeating the same instructions in messages.
- I don't use one of the methods shown. Do I have to fill it in?
No. The method sections have switches — leave the ones you don't use turned off and they won't show to clients or count against your completion.
