Tracking your applications

Step by step

   Open your applications

   Open your own profile, go to its News tab, and open the Jobs section. This is private — only you see it. Each card shows the position, the studio, and the current status of your application. (You can also reach the application from the bell when a studio acts on it.)

   Read the status

   The status badge tells you where things stand:

   • Pending — sent, the studio hasn't acted yet.
   • Reviewed — the studio has looked at your application.
   • Interview Proposed — the studio offered you interview times. It's your move.
   • Requested New Dates — you asked for different times and the studio hasn't sent new ones yet.
   • Interview Scheduled — you accepted a time; the interview is set.
   • Hired — you got the role.
   • Rejected — the studio passed.
   • Withdrawn — you pulled the application yourself (see step 5).
   • Cancelled — the studio took the whole offer down (see the FAQ).

   Respond to an interview proposal

   When a card shows Interview Proposed, tap it to open the proposal. You'll see the interview type (in person or remote), any location or meeting details, a message from the studio, and the time slots on offer. You can:

   • Accept a time — pick one of the slots. The interview is confirmed, a confirmation message lands in your chat with the studio, and you'll both get reminders before it starts.
   • Ask for new dates — if none of the times work, request different ones with a note. The studio is told and can send fresh times.
   • Decline — turn the interview down.

   Watch for clash warnings on the time slots

   Each proposed time is automatically checked against your own InkMap calendar — your bookings and sessions, team meetings, and other interviews — so you don't accidentally double-book. Events never count as a clash. Each slot shows one of:

   • Conflicts with… (a hard clash) — the time overlaps something you've already confirmed, so that slot can't be picked. Free up the other commitment or ask the studio for different dates.
   • Possible clash with… (a soft warning) — the time overlaps something that isn't locked in yet, like a pending booking or a meeting invite you haven't accepted. You can still accept, but you'll be asked to confirm first.
   • No label — the time is clear.

   Withdraw an application

   If you've changed your mind, open the application and tap Withdraw application. You can add an optional reason. Withdrawing is allowed at any stage, and if an interview was scheduled it's cancelled for both sides. Your application isn't deleted — it stays in your list (and the studio's) marked Withdrawn. If the offer is still open, you can apply again later.

   Keep an eye on the badge

   While a studio is waiting on your reply to an interview invite, a count shows on your News tab so you don't miss it. It clears once you've accepted, asked for new dates, or declined.

Frequently asked questions

A studio I applied to took its offer down. What happens to my application?

You're notified, and your application turns into a Cancelled card in your News > Jobs section showing the job title and the studio's reason if they gave one. Any interview that was set up is cancelled. The card stays until you tap Remove to clear it yourself.

Can I message the studio about my application?

Yes — open the studio's profile and message them like anyone else. When you accept an interview, a confirmation is also posted automatically in that conversation.

I accepted an interview but something came up. Can I cancel?

Yes. Open the application and cancel the interview; the studio is notified. The application goes back to Reviewed.
