Muting alerts while you work
Practitioners can silence push notifications automatically during confirmed sessions, or mute everything for a custom window when something unplanned comes up.
When you're mid-session, you don't want your phone buzzing. The Push Notifications screen gives practitioners two ways to go quiet: an automatic mute during your confirmed sessions, and a manual mute for a window you set yourself. Both live under Working Hours on that screen (Profile Settings → Push Notifications).
Step by step
- 1
Auto-mute during sessions
Switch on Auto-mute during sessions. While a confirmed session is running, your push notifications go quiet — except messages from the client you're currently with, which still reach you. Anything held back is delivered during a break of 30 minutes or more, or at the end of the day.
- 2
Mute manually for a set window
For unplanned work — a walk-in, an unscheduled stretch — set a From and Until time and tap Activate Manual Mute. Everything stays silent until that window ends or until you tap Clear.
- 3
Know what still comes through
Critical alerts — bookings and safety — always come through, even with either mute active. Muting holds back the noise, not the things you genuinely need to act on.
Frequently asked questions
- Where is Working Hours? I don't see it.
It's on the Push Notifications screen, and only practitioner accounts have it. Make sure push is switched on at the top — the rest of the screen, Working Hours included, is hidden when push is off.
- Will I still hear from the client I'm working on?
Yes. With auto-mute on during a session, messages from your current client still reach you. It's the rest of the noise that's held back.
