Showing or hiding your events
The events you join show on your profile's News tab. How to hide all of them with the Events Tab privacy setting, and how to hide or show one event at a time from its card.
When you join an event, it shows under the Events section of your own profile's News tab, so people visiting your profile can see where you're going. You decide how much of that is visible — all at once, or one event at a time.
Step by step
- 1
See your joined events
Open your own profile, go to the News tab, and tap Events. You'll see the upcoming events you've joined, soonest first.
- 2
Hide all your events at once
To stop anyone from seeing which events you join, go to Settings → Privacy & Visibility and turn the Events Tab setting to Hidden. Your Events section disappears for everyone visiting your profile. Switch it back to Visible whenever you want.
- 3
Hide or show one event at a time
On your own Events list, each event card has a small Visible / Hidden badge in the corner. Tap it to flip that single event, and confirm. This lets you keep your Events tab visible while hiding just the ones you'd rather not share — and the per-event choice works whichever way your overall setting is set.
Frequently asked questions
- Does hiding an event remove me from it?
No. Hiding only controls what shows on your profile. You're still joined, you still get reminders, and the poster still counts you as attending.
- I'm on a studio account — where's my Events Tab setting?
Studio accounts post events rather than join them, so there's no Events Tab privacy setting to hide. The events you post are public or private depending on how you created each one.
