Sharing content and @mentions

The + button in a chat is a share menu, not just a photo picker. Send your own posts, info cards, flagged bookmarks, and more — and use @ to drop a card that links straight to a profile, post, event, or job.

A chat lets you send more than text. The + button opens a share menu, and typing @ drops a card into your message that links to something specific.

  • The + button

Tap + in the message bar to open the share menu. From it you can:

    • Take a photo or pick one from your gallery.
    • Share your own content — your posts and (for practitioners and studios) your info cards. What else you can share depends on your account type: studios can share team members, events, and job offers; tattoo artists can share a guest spot.
    • Send a flagged bookmark — pick from posts you've flagged so you can fire off a "this one — like this" reference to a practitioner before booking. See Using bookmarks for what flagging is.
    • Request a booking — this option appears when you're messaging a practitioner. See Booking from a conversation.
  • @ mentions

Type @ to add a card to your message that links to a specific item — a profile, a post, an event, a job, a guest spot, or a location. What you can attach depends on the other person's account type. You can add up to five mentions in one message.

  • Protecting the images you send

When you attach a photo, you can cover parts of it or stamp it with your username before it sends. See Protecting the images you send.

Frequently asked questions

How many things can I @mention in a single message?

Up to five.

Where do flagged bookmarks come from?

They're posts you've flagged from your bookmarks. Flagging marks a post so it's quick to grab and send here.
