Capacity vs work-station conflicts

The two kinds of conflict the studio calendar flags — too many overlapping bookings, versus two artists on the same work station — and how to clear each.

The studio calendar flags two different problems, and they're easy to mix up. A capacity conflict is about how many artists are working at once. A work-station conflict is about two artists on the same spot. They're fixed in different ways.

  • Capacity conflict — too many at once

Your studio can run a set number of artists at the same time, and that number follows how many work stations you have. When more bookings overlap than that allows, the calendar marks the day with a red dot and a Capacity conflict note. It's telling you the shop is overbooked for that window — you have more people due in than spots to put them.

To ease it, you'd move or reschedule a booking, or add capacity by adding a work station in Settings.

  • Work-station conflict — two on one spot

A work-station conflict is narrower: two artists are assigned to the same station at the same time. On the day timeline, the station tag turns red and notes who else is on it. You can be within your overall capacity and still have this — it just means the assignments collided.

Fix it from the Workstation Issues page: for each side you can Keep them, Move them to another station, or Unassign them. See Assigning and changing work stations.

  • Unassigned bookings and guests

A third thing shows up on the same Workstation Issues page: bookings — and visiting guests — with no station at all. These aren't collisions, just spots left to fill. Assign a station, or for guests, keep one for their whole stay or a single day. Marking stations as guest-priority in Settings lets guests get placed automatically.

Frequently asked questions

My day is within capacity but still shows a work-station problem. How?

The two are independent. Capacity is the total number of artists at once; a work-station conflict is two of them assigned to the same spot. You can be under capacity and still have a station collision.

Where do I resolve these?

Tap the work-station issues banner under the Month grid to open the Workstation Issues page, which separates Conflicts from Unassigned.
