The Accounting tab

• What's on the tab

  Accounting splits into income and expenses, each grouped by category with status pills so you can see what's been received or paid and what's still pending. It runs on the arrangements you set per artist. For the full walkthrough, see Your studio accounting tab.

  To dig in further:

  • Logging costs and recurring expenses — Recording expenses and recurring costs.
  • Getting the numbers out — Exporting studio reports.
  • The settlement side — The Money Settlement calendar, Settling commission money, and Payments, rent, and fees.

• Money Settlement is free

  Reviewing and settling booking money doesn't need the Accounting subscription. Even with Accounting locked, a Money Settlement link appears on the tab that opens that screen for free. Accounting adds the full income/expense ledger, categories, and reports on top.

  From Money Settlement's Not yet collected tab, a studio can also complete a session and collect the balance itself — enter the final price, mark it done, and record who took the money — without waiting on the artist. See Settling commission money. This is free too.

• The tab badge

  A red number on the Accounting tab counts money items waiting on you — pending payments you've logged plus outstanding settlement items. It clears as you mark them handled.

Frequently asked questions

Accounting is locked. Can I still settle money with my artists?

Yes. The Money Settlement screen is free — use the link on the locked Accounting tab. The subscription adds the full ledger, expense tracking, and exports.

Why are some sessions not showing income?

Income is worked out from each artist's arrangement. A session with no arrangement covering it won't be counted — see Setting up arrangements and Arrangement not set.
