Reviewing applicants and hiring
How a studio works through the people who applied to its job offers — the owner-only Applications view, the new-applicant badge, moving an applicant through the stages, proposing an interview, and marking someone hired or rejected.
Once your offers are live, the people who apply land in a private view only you can see. This guide covers where that is, how to read it, and how to move an applicant from a fresh application through to hired.
Step by step
- 1
Open your applicants
On your own profile's News tab, in the Job Offers section, open the Applications view. It's owner-only — visitors never see it. It lists each offer you've posted with a breakdown of how many applicants sit at each stage.
- 2
Watch the badge
A count appears on the Job Offers tab and the Applications view showing how many applicants are waiting on you — fresh applications you haven't acted on, plus anyone who asked for new interview dates. It's a count, not a message: there's no separate push when someone applies, so check the badge to see new activity. It drops as you respond to each person.
- 3
Open an offer's applicants
Tap an offer to see everyone who applied to it. Open an applicant to read their cover letter, contact details, preferred way to be paid, and any resume or portfolio they attached.
- 4
Move an applicant along
As you work through someone, move them through the stages: Reviewed once you've looked, then an interview, then Hired or Rejected. The applicant sees the same status update on their side.
- 5
Propose an interview
To interview someone, propose times. Choose in person or remote, add any location or meeting details, offer one or more time slots, and include a short message. The applicant is notified and can accept a slot, ask for different dates, or decline. You're told which they chose:
- If they accept, the time is confirmed for you both, a confirmation is posted in your chat with them, and you both get reminders before it starts.
- If they ask for new dates, send fresh times — they show back up as waiting on you in the badge.
- 6
Hire or reject
After the interview, decide. Mark the applicant Hired or Rejected. Either choice closes out any open interview for that application.
Frequently asked questions
- Does anyone else see who applied to my offers?
No. The Applications view is owner-only, and applicants can't see each other. Applications are private to you.
- Do I get notified the moment someone applies?
Not with a push. New applicants show up as a count on your Job Offers tab — open it to see who's waiting.
- I hired someone — does that take the offer down?
No. Hiring an applicant doesn't close the offer. If you're done hiring, delete the offer — see Posting a job offer.
