Your General Information and Contact cards

The two identity cards every practitioner has — your bio, languages and experience on General Information, and your phone, email, socials and preferred contact method on Contact.

Two of your Info Cards are about who you are and how to reach you: General Information and Contact. Both are public — they're often the first thing a client reads on your profile. Both live on the Info tab; tap a card, then Edit.

  • General Information

This card carries your professional identity.

    • Bio — a short description of you and your work, up to 200 characters. This is the field that takes the card to 100% complete, so it's worth writing.
    • When you started — pick the month and year you began. InkMap turns this into a "years of experience" line on your profile. It's optional and never shown as a raw date.
    • Languages — the languages you work in, so clients know they can communicate with you.
  • Contact

This card is how clients reach you outside of a booking.

    • Phone — your number with its country code.
    • Email and Website.
    • Social links — Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter), Telegram, and YouTube. Enter your username or handle, not the full link — InkMap builds the link for you.
    • Preferred contact method — pick the one way you'd most like clients to reach you. InkMap messaging is selected by default and always works, since every account can be messaged in the app. If you pick a different method, fill in that field too.

The card reaches 100% once you've got at least one contact method and a preferred method chosen. With InkMap messaging selected by default, it's complete as soon as you save.

Frequently asked questions

Should I put my phone number and email if I'd rather clients use the app?

That's your call. Leave them blank and keep InkMap messaging as your preferred method, and clients will message you in the app. Add a phone or email only if you actually want clients contacting you that way.

Do I type the full link for my Instagram?

No — just your username (for example yourname, not the full address). InkMap turns it into a working link. The same goes for the other social platforms; only Website takes a full address.
