Assigning booking licenses
Give team members booking access with the per-member booking-license switch — how to assign, schedule a removal, cover an artist's own subscription, and read the license counter.
A booking license is what lets a team member take bookings through InkMap. You hand them out from the Members sub-tab, one switch per artist. The switch needs the Team Bookings subscription; without it, the switch is off and a line invites you to subscribe. For how licenses are priced, how many come with each plan, and how an artist can bring their own, see How studio licenses and BYOL work.
The license switch
Each member card has a Booking license switch. Turn it on to give that artist booking access using one of your studio's seats; turn it off to take it back.
A banner above the list shows how many seats you're using — {used} of {total} booking license(s) assigned — with a link to Get more licenses if you run out. If any team members have no booking access, a warning lists them so you can decide who to cover.
When there's no seat free
If every seat is in use, the switch for an unlicensed member is greyed out. Free one up by turning another member's off, or get more seats from the upgrade screen.
Scheduling a removal
Turning a license off doesn't cut access on the spot. You'll confirm a Schedule License Removal: the artist keeps booking access until the end of the month, and that seat stays tied up until then — you can't reassign it to someone else in that window. You can turn the switch back on any time before then to cancel the removal. While it's scheduled, the card shows Ending {date} with an Undo.
Covering an artist's own subscription
Some artists pay for their own booking access. If one of yours does, their card shows a badge like Own subscription or Trial. You can offer to Cover Their Subscription with one of your seats instead — they're notified and can switch over to save their own money. If they're already on one of your seats and paying themselves, turning the switch off just drops your coverage.
Frequently asked questions
- I turned a license off but the artist can still book. Why?
Removal is scheduled, not immediate — they keep access until the end of the month, and the seat stays reserved until then. Use Undo if you changed your mind.
- Can I reassign a seat the moment I remove it from someone?
Not during the scheduled-removal window. The seat stays consumed until the end of the month. Buy another seat if you need to license someone else right away.
- What's the difference between a studio seat and an artist's own subscription?
A studio seat is one of the licenses that come with your plan, which you assign. An artist's own subscription is one they pay for themselves. The full breakdown — including how an artist can use your seat instead of paying — is in How studio licenses and BYOL work.
